ACT II-Julius Caesar
How is Caesar a complex character? Would you say that he seems to be dynamic, meaning he changes a lot? If so, how? How do you feel about him personally? Do you think he really is capable of being a tyrant and ruling harshly or do you feel some sympathy for him, knowing that the conspirators have plotted to kill him behind his back? Explain your feelings and use support from the text as evidence.

Caesar is a complex character one minute he can be cruel and then the next he can be nice and charming. I think Caesar is dynamic he changes his actions to please people. In line 55-56 on page 886 Caesar changes his mind and the way he was acting to please Calphurnia. He had just finished telling her a long spill about being cowardly and that he is not a coward so he is going to the capital, and then he changes his mind to stay home and please his wife. I personally don't really mind Caesar he doesnt seem like someone who would be a tyrant but I do not respect him as a leader. Hes power hungry. I think he just likes having power even though he really has no real intention to use it, he's in it for the glory and the fame. I do kinda feel bad for him because I know that in the end he is going to die but he chose to go to the capital he shouldnt have been persauded so easily. Most of this play has been about all the bad signs that something is going to happen and Caesar has gotten warnings, he should have listened to his wife and stayed home. In lines 1-3 on page 883 Caesar talks about how Calphurnia had a dream about him being murdered, that should have set off a light bulb and he should have made the desicion then to stay home.

Caesar can be described as a complex character because, just like Brutus, he's wishy-washy. Caesar can also differentiate from other characters because he dismisses the bad omens flying around his head. I think Caesar's dynamic. He'll say one thing and then turn around and say something completely different so his image isn't tarnished. In ACT II, Scene II, II. 55-56 on pg. 886, Caesar agrees to stay home with Calphurnia only to backtrack when Decius comes in and says people may think of Caesar as a coward and take away his crown. Then, on pg. 888, lines 105-107, Caesar scolds Calphurnia for her dream and decides to go to the capitol... pathetic. Caesar really irks me. So, not only does he ignore his wife's worries, he also has an extremely large ego. He thinks he's too far above of everybody else to be harmed. All Caesar wants is the crown, and that can lead to violence. I also think Caesar was moronic for brushing off the bad omens. Rome was so superstitious during this time period that Caesar should've have stayed home and locked the doors. I don't think Caesar would take the crown planning on becoming a tyrant, but I do believe he'd end up one. He's too power-hungry and would only think of himself. Yet, I do feel sympathy for Caesar. He has no idea what's about to happen to him and I don't like the idea of murder. Karma doesn't play nice, so I have a feeling that the conspirators may get a taste of their own medicine.
Caesar is a complex character, because he can't make up a decision on wether to go to the capitol or not. For example in act2,scene2 lines 10-56 Caesar has made up his mind about going to the capitol, but then Calphurnia tells Caesar of the bad omens that have happened and beggs him to stay home then Caesar changes his mind to please Calphurnia. I feel that if Caesar was ruler that he would be easily swayed be the people to make decisions. Yes, I believe that Caesar is capable of being a tyrant because he has a big head and wants everyone to be beneath him, but I do feel some sympathy for him because the conspirators are plotting to kill him but no one will ever know if Caeser was going to rule harsly or not.

Caesar is the kind or person who will listen and follow people who tell him what he wants to hear. He said he would do what Calphurnia wanted and stay home but Decius told Ceasar that the senators would give him the crown. He followed Decius because he wanted to have the crown. I think that Caesar would be a very bad ruler because he will follow people blindly. Caesar also goes against what he says he will do. He talks about how not going to the capitol would make him a coward in lines 32-37, but he then tells Calphurnia that he will not go to the capitol to make her happy. Decius explains Calphurnia's dream and then Caesar says "How foolish do your fears seem now, Calphurnia. I am ashamed I did yield to them." In line 105-106. I have no sympathy for him.
Maggie Smith
I see Caesar as being a confusing character and he seems to make decisions on what other people think. I think that he would rule like a tyrant sometimes and
Then others no because he would do what other people would tell him that would be good. For example, when he is talking to Decius in lines 92-107, Decius persuadeds him that Calpertias dream is a lie abd it really dosent mean that. He gets persuaded really easily. He said he wasent going to go for a few lines because of the dream then when Decius tells him that the dream is a misundertanding and he says that they are planing on giving him the crown then he automatically changes his mind without giving it one thought. I think he deserves the publics betrayal because he is weak because he let's other people make his decisions and take control of his ruling.
Caesar is a very complex and dynamic character! But not in the way others would think, he has not once changed his mind but his tactic, the only reason he was persuaded so easily is that he never intended to stay home. He throughout the whole ordeal, knew that in the end he would go to the capitol. Although however scared as he was, he was aware of the need to go because he knew that he would seem like a coward because this would make him lose favor and popularity and in his mind that's was just as bad as death but on the other hand he knew that death would also stop his campaign just as surely as the loss of popularity so it was not indecisiveness but unsure he knew however that if he did not go he would definitely seem a coward where as if he went he was not completely sure that he would die. He is complex in his train of thought and dynamic in his ability to come to a decision. I believe he's a good person, however he's very arrogant and full of himself which are not good leadership qualities. This is what assures me that if he gained power he would become a tyrant because the roman definition of tyrant is one with complete power not one who missuses his complete power. I don't believe he would misuse his power though because he's good to the people now and if he were to gain full power may help the people more , this is what leads me to feel sympathetic toward him because they don't know how he'll end up so what if he became a good ruler? Then they would have killed an innocent man. In lines 10-35 where Brutus provides his soliloquy this is the concept he toys with he ends up deciding its better to take a preemptive strike but its not because what if the snake egg hatches to be a harmless duckling not a snake? That would be an epic fail on the conspirators part and a tragedy on Caesar's.
Marcus Weeks
Caesar is a complex character because he will talk about wanting to kill somebody and then the next day he will be having dinner with them and talking like friends. I say he seems to dynamic because he couldn't make his mind up on whether he was going to the capitol or not. He was letting other people influence him on what he should do. I feel that Caesar is not very smart and that he is not really a true leader. I feel that way because he let other poeple inspire him on what he should do and he should have his own mind if he's going to be a King. I do not think that he is capable of being a Tyrant because of that and I feel no sympathy for him.
Carter Tetanich
I would say that Caesar is very complex and dynamic because in lines 55-56 pg 886 he says that he will stay home but on line 105-107 pg 888 he says he will go. Personally I think that Caesar is very easy to persuade. I feel like he is all nice now but when he feels that power he will forget about everyone who helped him up there. I think that to kill Caesar the conspirators must be very scared of what will happen if they don't.
Cesar is a complex character because he changes his mind so often he is easily persuaded and that causes him to change his mind. He can be a mean person at one moment and a nice person the next. I think Ceasar is a dynamic character because he can seam bipolar at times. I feel like Ceasar is a little stressed and confused about things wich can make him a weak ruler. He would be a powerful ruler but that doesn't mean he would be a good one. I do feel a little sympathy for him because the conspirators are his friends, well so he thinks. I believe what they want to do Ceasar is very cruel. I don't know another way they could teach Ceaser his lesson though. I feel we don't have enough evidence of Ceasar being a bad person to make the assumption that they should kill him for going to be a cruel leader.

I think Caesar is a complex character because he changes his mind often. For example, he agrees to his wife that he shouldn’t go to the capitol, but as soon as Decius comes to take him he agrees to go, which makes his wife kind of mad. I do not really like him because he has the ability of having way too much power. I think he does have the capability of being a tyrant and ruling harshly. For sure all of the not-so-wealthy people like him. I do not feel sympathetic for him knowing the conspirators are a plan to kill him. I feel like that because if they don't kill him then he will take control and not be a good ruler.
Ashley Whisenant
I think Caesar is a complex and dynamic character, because he says one thing one minute, and then he will say the opposite one minute later. One example of this is in act 2 scene 2 line 48-107. Calphurnia does not want Caesar to go to the capitol because of the dream she had and so Ceasar says he will not go to please her. Then Brutus comes in and says that her dream was misunderstood, and Ceasar is going now. I personally think that if the conspirators don't kill Ceasar that he will become mad with power. He would most likely become another Hitler.
Hailey Newman
Caesar is a complex character. He triumphs over all other commoners and high officials. He seems as if he is afraid at all times, but secretly persuades people into thinking he is capable of much more than his power will allow him. Honestly he is follower and seems to get sucked into what others want him to do, only to prove that he is willing. Caesar is respected and honored by the roman citizens, but i wouldn't say it's because he was brave. I would say it's because they didn't know the truth. He is a dynamic character because of the way his mind can easily be changed. He is pulled from one side to another so quickly it can have your mind swimming. Through pages 884-886, He told his wife he would go to the senate house, yet he did not go for the fear of his wife, but i also think he was fearful of her dream. Then he quickly turned against what he spoke and told Decius he would go. The only thought in my mind for why did decided to do this was because Decius was basically calling him a worthless coward if he chose not to. Personally, I feel that Caesar is a coward and he is getting what he deserves. No one should ever have the ability to absorb so much power. He is mind is becoming corrupted with so much power he can't control it. I believe he is capable of becoming a tyrant all because he prooved himself to be. He puts himself on a much higher pedastale than anyone else, but he is so high now he won't be capable of coming back down to earth. He believes himself to be a god and looks down on everyone. I feel no sympathy toward him because of where he places himself. Also knowing that the conspirators have such good reason for doing what they want, I feel like it was the honorable thing to do.
Morgan Mims
Caesar is a complex character because he is unpredictable, sometimes he can be mean and cruel and then the other times he can be the nicest person you know. I think that Caesar is dynamic, because he says something but then a few minutes later he changes his mind. In Act II scene 2lines 55-56 and lines 105-107 he tells Calphurnia that he will stay at home but in lines 105-107 he changes his mind and says that he will go. I do not think that Caesat would be a good tyrant because he is too hungry for power and I think that he likes telling people what to do. In some ways I do feel bad for Caesar, I don't think he should have let Decius persuade him so easily, he should have listened to Calphurnia.
Joseph Espinoza
Caesar can be a complex character because his mind is uneasily set. He may say one thing one day and then another thing another day. I would say he is a dynamic character because he easily changes his mind about going to retrieve his crown, (lines 60-91, page 886-887). I honestly don't think Caesar will be capable of being a tyrant because he will just keep listening to other people like Mark Antony or the senate. I think this because I just think that he wants everyone to know that he is Mr. Big Pants and that he just wants the perk of being Mr. Big Pants.
Nathan Leaphart
The play's Caesar is one big complex labyrinth of thoughts, ideas, and plans. Caesar is horrible a picking sides. He is like a friend you are happy to have one day, but he turns his back on you and picks on you the next day. This is best illustrated by Act II, Scene II. Lines 55-107 show how appealing to Caesar's wants, Decuis is able to persaude gulible Caesar in the blink of an eye. Caesar doesn't give a second-thought about Decuis' awful explanation to Calphurnia's dream. I actually think the only way he would follow the citizens blindly is if they questioned his courage, so I will have to disagree with that popular opinion. If I didn't know anything about Julius Caesar before I read this story, I would have felt no sympathy for him. The story makes seem like a weak leader who wants the people to love him. However, knowing the real Caesar's military tactics, his dissection of Roman politics, and him setting up a welfare for the peasants suggests a strong ruler. I do believe Shakespeare is bias toward the conspirators. I think making Caesar seem like a bad husband and a coward helps the audience to fall in love with Brutus, the loving and supporting husband. Knowing the political problems of Shakespeare's time with the monarchy, he probably put a bias towards a "democratic" government other than another cruel king. You never know, maybe Shakespeare tried to use this play for a politic gain of his own. To conclude, from reading the play, I don't pity him, because he is arrogant and a mean husband (Lines 65-68 & Lines 105-107). From knowing the historic background, I think Caesar's greatness was cut short and he could have done great things; I do feel sympathy for him being killed by aristocrats trying to hold onto their upper hand on society.

I think that Caesar is an extremely complex character. His moods can be so different, for example, he murders Pompey, but he loves his wife enough to stay home instead of getting the crown just because she had a bad dream. He seems to want the best for the people of Rome, but he also looks down on them, as if he's better than them. I think that Caesar could be a good man, and i feel a tad sorry that that he's murdered, and i feel sorry for Calpurnia, because she interpreted her dream correctly, but no one listened and she lost her husband. On the other hand, Caesar is definatly capable of being a tyrant. He is extremely smart, and knows just how to gain the crown the right way. He has the people's support, and that gives him confidence. If he became the king of Rome, I think that the people would prosper for a while, but soon enough Caesar would treat the Romans harshally, turning into a tyrant, a dictator. He is very confident, but not in a good way. After so many warnings about the ides of March, he should have at least been more cautious, and not completely ignore all of the ill-signs. That is a major trait he lacks, and eventaully will cause his downfall.
Morgan Shumpert
Caesar is a complex character because he can be a good person but he can also be a harsh dictator. I dont think Caesar is so much dynamic as he just cant make up his mind because in the book he had his mind set on going to the crowning but Calphurnia changed his mind into not going but a few minutes later Decius changes it back to going to he crowning. Caesar is a very weak ruler and I would not trust him only because he can be easily persuaded to believing something else. I do think Caesar can be a harsh ruler but at the same time I dont think it is Cassius' and the consirator's place to kill him because he has a purpose on Earth just like the rest of us.
Hali Wilson
Caesar is a complex character because he has issues making up his mind. I draw a connection between him and Brutus because they both ar bad at making up their minds. On page 886 in lines 55-56 Caesar promises his wife, Calphurnia, that he will stay home instead of going to the capitol. But then Decius convinces him that the senate might think he is not a good ruler and decide not to give him the crown. Caesar immediatly changes his mind despite all the warnings of danger including the dream and the storm. Another example of how dynamic he can be is how he helps all of the citizens of Rome but he forgets who helped him get his strength. All Caesar worries about is his ego and gaining more power.
Will Overton
Caesar is a very complex character when deciding if he was going to go to the Senate to recieve the crown he was against it one minute and for it the next. He seems like the kind of guy who tells the people what they want to hear. I personally dont like Carsar he is going to turn into a tyrant by gaining more power, and then doing nothing for no one but himself.
Jr nava
Caesar is considered a complex character because he has many different moods and sides to him. like when Caesar is talking to his wife calphuria, in act 2 scene 2, he is all scared and obedient when she tells him about how everything that has happened was a warning to him not to go, but then Decius walks in and Caesar says he doesn't know why he even listened to his wife in the first place and that he felt really silly in doing so. i don't really like Caesar because he thinks he is the best and that nothing will ever go wrong on him. I feel that Caesar will go to be a harsh ruler because of his self centerdness. he will grow more power hungry the more power he gets.
Monecia Bryant
What makes Caesar a complex character is he will say one thing, then say something else in the next sentence. I think Caersar is dynamic because in Act II scene 2 he tells his wife Calphurnia that he is going out ,then he says he isn't,and once again he changes his mind ,saying he is going out. I'm not for Caesar or against him, but I do have sympathy for him because I know he is going to be killed by the conspirators.I do think that Caesar is capable of being a tyrant, Caesar likes having power and I think if he was given all the power he would abuse it and use it for his own good and not think about helping the people who got him to where he is.
Jessica Binion...
his moods change and he is dynamic he changes to please people. Lines 55-57 he changes to please Calphurnia. I dont like him and would never support him as my leader. he changes to much and is kinda a coward. i think he could be a tyrant because he is very smart and always has a plan. i dont feel sorry for him because he was warned not to go to the capitol but went anyway. hes way to easily persuaded and when he was told they couldn't find a heart and he looked at all the warning signs he should have stayed home.
Patrick Price
Caesar is a complex charachter because he changes his attitude toward the situation. I think Caesar is dynamic, he changes his actions to please people. Like when he told Calphurnia that he would not go to be crowned but then Brutus shows up and changes his mind I think he is capable of being a very harsh ruler and I have no sympathy for him. I think that the conspirators are thinking about theirselves but telling everyone else their doing it for Rome. I think something will happen to them.
Haven Hendrix
Caesar is a complex character in the way he changes his character to fit diffrent stuations, like in act 2 scene 2, he talks to Calphurnia with a stern but understanding voice. But changes his voice when Decius comes in the picture in lines 83-90 telling him Calphurnia is wrong, now he talks to her in an underminding tone. I would say Caesar is a complex person becuase he changes his mind often. He reminds me more of a follower not a leader always going with the crowd not standing up. Personally I feel he would do alright as a leader but he wouldn't be an outstndig leader becuase he is more of a follower and wouldn't stand up for what is right if it wasn't what the people wanted. I feel Caesar has the capability of being a tyrant, but I dont think he would go to the extents of Hitler. I also feel some sympathy for him becuase he does help out the poor citizens which was a really nice guesture. Also I feel bad knowing the conspirators are planning to kill him and he has no idea they are even against him. LIke at the end of scene 2 when all the conspirators come to pick him up and take him to the capitol he calls them his friend in line 26 he says "Good friends, go in and tste some wine with me," For this reason I do feel bad that they are plotting to kill him.
Matthew Kilgore
Caesar is a complex character he is saying that he will go one second and the next second he isnt and he changes a lot. I feel sympathy for him because he thinks that these men who are really against him are his friends. He even says come friends to them and these guys have him fooled. I don't think he could be a tyrant but he might be able to.
Caitlin Herron
Casear is a complex person because he says he is this great leader and makes his own descisions but when deciding to go to the Capital he was easily persuaded either to go or not to go. Calphurnia persuaded him to go then Decius persuaded him to go. I think that Caesar is a power hungry person and I do not appreciate that in someone.I feel sympathetic for him because he didn't that his people hated him or felt he was a tyrant. He thought the people that were plotting to kill him were his friends when they truely were not. I think they shouldn't have betrayed him because they didn't truely know if Caesar was going to be a tyrant or a good leader. They never told him their concerns or that they were not happy with the way he acts. They didn't approch him with this maybe if they had did so they would have had a very positive leader in Caesar.
Brooke Tager
Caesar is a complex caracter because he can go from being a nice person to being a mean and cruel person within a matter of seconds. I think that Caesar is a dynamic character because he changes his mind a lot in Scene II to please his wife. In lines 55 and 56, he tells Mark Antony to go to the Senate and tell them that he won't be coming because he is well. Then in lines 85-90, Decius tells Caesar that Calphurnia's dream is misunderstood, so he decides to go to the Senate. I don't think that Caesar would be a good king because of the way he treats people. He treats them very cruely, and I don't feel sympathy for him because the conspirators are trying to kill him.
Gibb
I think caesar is sneeky. I believe that he will rule completly different than what he says alot like the presidents of our day. They promise things they cant provide
Caesar is a complex character because he has such a dynamic personality. He changes his mind constantly based on whatever will make the people favor him. For instance, when he tells his wife Calphurnia he will stay home from the capitol but changing his mind because Decius says he may lose the crown. He is very greedy when it comes to power. I don't particularly like Caesar because of this personality. It could cause him to turn on people and bring out the bad side of him if all he wants to do is gain more power and will do whatever to get it. I believe he really did want to help people like when he gave food to the commoners, but with wanting so much power he is very capable of becoming a tyrant and will most likely soon forget those below him and become a harsh ruler without even meaning to. While killing should never really be right, for their sake it may have been the best choice they had.
The last comment was Caitlyn Taylor.. sorry, forgot to put my name.
Kaitlin Phillips
Caesar is a very complex character because he changes his moods a lot to fit the situation. Like on page 886 when he was talking with his wife, he changed his mood to lighthearted to please her, then when someone was going to call him cowardly, he changed his tone to mockery to make fun of Calphurnia for being so afraid. I think he isn't dynamic. He doesn't change much, all he changes is his attitude. I feel no sympathy for him because more than likely, he would have been a terrible, ruthless leader. I think if he had not been killed, even the poor people of Rome would not have wanted him due to the drastic change of his attitude.
Joshua Tedder
Caesar is a complex character because he can't make up his mind. He is very dynamic because one minute he told his wife that he was going to stay home and then the next second later he says that he will go on ll. 105-107 on page 888. I honestly don't care for him and I would not want him to be my ruler if he is so quick to change his mind after one person's opinion. Caesar is really capable of becoming a tyrant so I don't feel any sympathy for him even though he didn't expect his friends to kill him.
I believe Caesar is a complex character because he is very pigheaded and seems to me like he is trying to make everything go his way. Caesar is dynamic because he changes his story, he tells Calpernia that he will stay home with her then he bounces around with his answers about going to the capital. I do not feel any sympathy for Caesar he is so stubborn and I know he will abuse his power, all he thinks about is bettering himself not as a person or ruler but as a selfish human who only wants to rule everyone and own everything. I agree with the consperitors for getting rid of Caesar he is...not a horrible person I would say, but a person that should be kept a good eye upon. He is a crule ruler and only sees things for his bennifit and Caser is not a man I want to be ruleing my country.
Garrett Chassereau
Caesar is a complex character because he changes a whole lot. He can tell someone that he will definitly be there, and then in no time he tells somebody else he will be where they want him to be. Like when he tells his wife that he will stay with her, and then the next minute he is telling a man that he will go with him somewhere. So yes I do think that he is a dynamic character. I do feel sympathy for him because he has no idea what is going to happen to him. But then again I do think that he could have become a tyrant, if they didnt kill him.
Caesar is a very complex character because he is very confusing in that you never at one point know what he will do while facing one huge decision with two choices. He is a very dynamic character because you never 100% know that what he tells you is what he will go and tell someone else. I don't like him at all as a person. If I was alive at his time I think that the only way that I would like him is that he liked me and I had more privileges because I was a close friend of his. I definitely think that if the conspirators don't kill him that he would be a complete tyrant and i don't feel any sympathy towards him because he would have ruined Rome if he was not killed.
Jessica Veronee
Caesar is a complex character because he likes to have a variety of personalities. His mood changes depending on who he is talking to. For example, in Act 2 Scene 2, page 884 line 8, when Calphurnia informed Caesar about her dreams he comforted Calphurnia saying that he would stay home away from danger but when Decius came to escort him to the Capitol, he told him no, then Decius persuaded that he must come. Caesar completely rebelled against Calphurnia's request and marched on the Capitol with his pride and ego surrounding him as if it were walls round him making him indestructible. Caesar is definitely dynamic. He changes his mind like women change their clothes. He loves to say what people want to hear, most of the time. Personally, I dislike those fake type people. I would want a person to say the same thing in front of me that they would in front of someone else. I like to know the real side of people. I also dislike people who have pride problems. I strongly believe in Jesus Christ, therefore there is no reason for anyone on earth to be prideful in my opinion because compared to Him, we're nothing. So, I am glad that the conspirators put his entire ego to an end; I just wish that there could have been another way. I hate murder, and Caesar had really done nothing to the people yet to harm or mistreat them, so in a way the murder was uncalled for. I think that Caesar should have been given a fair chance because I also believe that anyone can truly change, you just have to give them a chance.
Josh Swearingen
I feel that Caesar is a very dynamic character. He is very indecisive about doing things and is very quick to decide, a good example of this would be on page 886-887 when he is indecisive on wether or not he wants to go to the capitol because he is trying to please Calphurnia, but he decides to go so that the senators don't strip him of the crown.
Caesar is kind of two sided, he may be ambitious and arrogant at times but then he is also all for the people. I think that he changes a lot and what I just said is an example. I feel sympathy for him, even though he may be ambitious, I think that he would be a good ruler. I think that it is wrong what the conspirators are doing, first off killing is never the answer and also throughout the book Caesar shows signs of a good man. Josh Reeves
He is the type of person that wants to hear something that would brighten his day, he seems like the type of person who wouldn't want to know the truth if it was bad news . He changes his mind a lot && can't stick with one thing for the life of him . Literally . I do think he is capable of being tyrant, but I also have sympathy for him because he is only a person like any of us && deserves a chance to prove himself . I think if maybe the conspirators had talked it out with Caesar how they fear him to become a tyrant, maybe things would have played out differently .

Caesar is a complex character because his personality often differs. He is dynamic because of how he occasionally contradicts himself. He talksto his wife in two totally different tones after Decius has the power to change Caesar's mind. I don't feel any negative feelings toward him because he technically hasn't done anything wrong as far as I'm concerned. He is completely capable of becoming a tyrant because power usually corrupts and he has ultimate power, however I do feel sympathy toward him because of the trust he invested in Brutus and some of the other conspiratorsand they all want him dead. If Caesar could have listened in on the conversatin on page 874-877 between the conspirators, maybe he would have changed his attitude in order to prevent his murder.
Caesar is a complex character because one minute he can be cruel and then the next he can be thoughtful and gracious. I think Caesar is dynamic he changes his actions to please people. In line 55-56 on page 886 Caesar changes his mind and the way he was acting to please Calphurnia. He had just finished telling her about being cowardly and that he is not a coward so he is going to the capital, and then he changes his mind to stay home and please his wife. I personally don't really mind Caesar he doesn’t seem like someone who would be a tyrant but I do not respect him as a leader. He’s power very hungry. I think he just likes having power even though he really has no real intention to use it. He wants it for the glory and the fame. I do kinda feel bad for him because I know that in the end he is going to die but he chose to go to the capital he shouldn’t have been persuaded so easily. Most of this play has been about all the bad signs that something is going to happen and Caesar has gotten warnings, he should have listened to his wife and stayed home. In lines 1-3 on page 883 Caesar talks about how Calphurnia had a dream about him being murdered, that should have set off a light bulb and he should have made the decision then to stay home.
Austin Wise:
Caesar is a complex character, one minute he can be cruel, then the next minute he can be kind. I don't think he's a dynamic character because he never really changes his mind about anything. He pretty much always stays the same about things. Personally I don't think Caesar he could become a tyrant. He seems like he might could be a good ruler. I feel sympathy for him because he has no idea people that he thinks are his friends, are actually planning to murder him.
